Cover Blurb Edit
After your title and cover, the back cover blurb is one of the first things your reader will see. The back cover blurb needs to hook readers without giving away too much of the plot. Your back cover blurb is one of your most powerful marketing tools. A book blurb is not a synopsis. A synopsis is a more detailed and longer outline of your book that covers all the main aspects of the plot, characters, and what happens at the beginning, middle and end. A book synopsis is sent along with a query letter when submitting to agents and publishers. A back cover blurb is printed on the dust jacket or back cover of the book.
We'll ensure that your cover blurb has:
A strong hook in the opening sentence
A consistent tone that reflects your target audience
An ending featuring a cliffhanger or question that entices readers
A clear main character, conflict, and stakes
Single Pass Critique: includes overall feedback and line edits ($70)
Multi Pass Critique: includes overall feedback and line edits up to three passes ($150)
